BHE Staff and Volunteers
Konjit Yimer (Koni), Managing Director
Koni is the founder and managing director of Brave Hearts Ethiopia. Koni has a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and a Bachelor degree in Counseling Psychology as well as Diploma of Applied Social Science (Psychology) from Australian Universities.
Mesfin Woldeyes, Program Manager/ Administration
Mesfin Woldeyes has been serving on various roles at Brave Hearts Ethiopia since 2019. Since 2021, he has taken the role of program manager/administration overseeing and directing the project activities on the ground.
Menebre Taddesse, Project Manager
Menebre works BHE as a project manager, oversee all programmatic activities of BHE. She mainly involves in project planning, implementation and ongoing monitoring and Evaluation. She received Masters of Sociology and ample experience in working with orphan and vulnerable children.
Leul Tesfaye, Social Worker
Leul works as a social worker at Brave Heart Ethiopia, supporting children through psychological sessions, individual guidance, and regular follow up on their emotional and academic progress. He has a BA in Social Anthropology.
ZEBENAY G/SILASSIE, ADMIN OFFICER
Zebenay work as the Administration officer at BHE, ensuring the children and guardians have the resources and support they need. She also oversees the follow up of BHE income generation activities (IGA). She has a BA Degree in Management and Accounting
Hirut Addisu and Emebet Lule
Hirut and Emebet work as the cleaning staff of BHE. They ensure the BHE facilities are clean, safe and welcoming for children and staff. They maintain Hygiene in the offices and study room and also support the kitchen program by preparing after school refreshments.
ADDISU GETACHEW, FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING OFFICER
Addisu is the Finance and Accounting Officer and has over 14 years of experience in the field. He has earned his MBA in General Management and BA in Accounting.
Helina Abye, Communications Consultant
Helina is BHE’s Communications Consultant with experience in communications, social media, web development and program support. She manages BHE’s digital platforms and publications.
Marloes Susanna Bulthuis (VOLUNTEER)
Marloes has been volunteering with Brave Hearts as of Jan 2025. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with the children along with dances, games, and soccer games. While she is traveling a lot for her work, she is always eager to support Brave Hearts as a volunteer in various roles. In addition to volunteering, Marloes and her father started to support one of the Brave Hearts children.
